CEO of One Economy Rey Ramsey radio interview about Broadband stimulus funding

This is a radio interview of recent guest Rey Ramsey CEO of One Economy Corporation - a global nonprofit that uses innovative approaches to deliver the power of technology and information to low-income people.

Increased Internet access expands an individuals’ access to resources such as education, health care, employment and financial supports and recently the federal government allocated $7.2 billion from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act to expand broadband access among underserved populations. However, an issue as important as access is adoption. A recent Pew survey noted that 50% of individuals without broadband access believe it is not relevant to their lives.

On the show we discuss hwo the broadband stimulus money should be spent, learn about a new coalition called "Broadband Opportunity Coalition" and we hear how One Economy is doing work in the US to help the poor become more tech literate and mainstream and the work they are doing globally.
